The Spartan Sprint Data Page

Currently, we are using the Google spreadsheet. Here's how the process works.

  • First, we need to make you an authorized contributor to the spreadsheet. Send Russ Carpenter, AA7QU, an email saying you want to contribute to the spreadsheet, and he'll put your address in the list of authorized contributors. You can send Russ an automated email with this link.

  • Next, Google will send you and email inviting you to use the spreadsheet. The email will contain a URL with direct access to the spreadsheet. You will use this URL every time you access the spreadsheet. Please bookmark the URL.

  • When you click the URL,  you will reach reach a welcome page at Google. On the right side will be a login panel. If you already have a Google accunt, enter your login ID and password (you computer will likely already have a cookie for that information).

  • If you don't have a Google account, click the link that says "create an account now" and follow the instructions. In the future, you will be able to breeze right through the welcome page with the login infomation that's stored in the cookie on your computer.

When you have reached the spreadsheet, enter as much of the data as you can in the first available empty row. We've included three sample entries. Please don't overwrite or change data entered by others.

Finally, save your entry by pushing the button in the upper right corner that says "Save and Close."

By the way, if you'd like to see the spreadsheet without making entries yourself, clink the link below.

Anonymous:You must be kidding. This is collecting data? It's far too simplistic to be of any use. It doesn't control for important propagation factors, and the factors it does control for are already well understood. It's unfortunate to see that the Sprint has gone in such a direction in order to provide mostly useless information. I think you're kidding yourselves that this is going to advance our understanding of anything.
